Russia’s FAS: UC RUSAL Trading House Discriminates Silicon Consumers
Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service ruled that UC RUSAL Trading House violated Article 10 (part 1, paragraph 8) of the Federal Competition Protection Act.
The offense consisted in UC RUSAL Trading House refusing to supply KR-1 silicon to Permtsvetmet in August-November 2010, even though the two companies had signed a shipment agreement, the supplier received the applications for the supply of goods at determined prices, and there was every possibility of delivering the goods in question.
The FAS committee thus came to the conclusion that UC RUSAL Trading House’s systematic failure to fulfill the orders places by Permtsvetmet constitutes a violation of the antimonopoly agreement.
