The similar productions of Evraz Group achieve closer cooperation.

As part of these cooperative activities, the metallurgical works of Nizhny Tagil (Nizhnetagilsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat, NTMK JSC) integrated in Evraz Group received a rail rolling metal consignment of 600 tons from another member of Evraz, Novokuznetsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat JSC (metallurgical works of Novokuznetsk).

The decision to ship the metal from Novokuznetsk to Nizhny Tagil was made by the Evraz Group balance committee to improve the distribution of production capacities of its metallurgical works, NTMK JSC PR-department says. At the moment, the first continuous casting machine of NTMK works under the marginal load, whereas the load capacity of same machine at Novokuznetsk is still far from depletion. According to the decision, some amount of the Novokuznetsk machine productions had to be moved to Nizhny Tagil, to supply the local metallurgical productions with the needed rail rolling billets. ‘The billets from Novokuznetsk will facilitate the fulfillment of production plans of both rail and structural steel shop of NTMK and steel plant of Novokuznetsky Metallurgichesky Kombinat, and the consumers will receive the ordered goods in due time,’ NTMK JSC PR-department comments.
