Director of Sukholozhckcement cement works mortally wounded on April 2, 2006
On April 2, 2006, a hunter of Sukholozhsky wildlife service mortally wounded Mr Ryabtsev, Director of Sukholozhcktsement JSC (cement works of Sukhoy Log). The incident occurred because of the hunter’s casual handling of fire-arms. The Public Prosecutor of Sukhoy Log charged the offender with Reckless Homicide (Article (Part 1) of the Russian Criminal Code).
‘By now, we have established that at 4.30 p.m. on April 2, 2006, 8 kilometers away from Kuryi village, the suspect, being in a state of intoxication, mortally wounded the victim by a casual shot from his state-registered 7.62-mm caliber carabine,’ the report of Sukhoy Log Public Prosecutor’s Office says.
The suspect is now under arrest and the Public Prosecutor’s Office is undertaking the necessary investigative actions.
