Aircrew of Ural Airlines undergoes no systematic medical checkups

According to Territorial Office of Rospotrebnadzor (Russian State Consumer Rights Surveillance Agency), only 625 of 993 businesses located in Yekaterinburg arranged any medical checkups for their personnel during 2005. Only 64.2% of Yekaterinburg employees liable to medical checkups within 2005 really underwent them.

In the course of medical checkups, 74 employees were found suffering from diseases caused by their professional activities. The worst professional medical surveillance situation was recorded at Zheleznodorozhny and Chkalovsky Districts of Yekaterinburg, where systematic medical checkups embrace 38.7% and 44.5% of employees, respectively. In 2005, roughly 15,000 employees had to go through checkups in the Prophylaxis Center, of whom only 38.9% actually did. (Only 15.4% of those from Zheleznodorozhny district, 23% of those from Ordzhonikidsevskiy district, and 30.85% of those from Chkalovsky district underwent it.) The worst serial offenders were Ural Airlines JSC, (failing to send its aircrew to the Prophylaxis Center), Fabrica Odezhda (Clothes Factory) JSC, Sverdlovskoye JSC, DDT Automobile Association, Uralmashspetsstal Ltd., Uraltransmash Federal State Unitary Enterprise, Uralskiy Construction Enterprise Ltd., UZRTM Ltd., Uralshina Ltd., Shabrovskiy Talc Complex JSC, Ceramics Works JSC, Pipe Works JSC, Chkalovskiy Unitary Enterprise, Crystal JSC, Ural Textiles Ltd., Uralenergostroymontazh CJSC, Astra-2000 Ltd. and a number of others.
