Vanadium Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise of Kachkanar JSC is giving a 20-day overhaul to No.1 sintermachine. According to the company’s spokesperson, this is one of the most significant repair operations in the sintering shop in terms of both financial and labour resources.

‘The shop employees say that the uniqueness of this overhaul lies in having to work under new conditions: for the first time in the company’s history, the functions of the general contractor and of the organizer are performed by the recently founded Servicing Center meant for equipment repair. The Center workers and the outsource (Vostokmetallurgmontazh and Composite) specialists will do a full examination and overhaul of the main units and parts of the sintermachine as well as a partial reconstruction,’ says the spokesperson.

The sintermachine is scheduled to be operation for another three years. The company currently uses three machines altogether.
