Evrazruda JSC sets up more energy supply assessment stations

Evrazruda JSC (part of Evraz Group) started assembling three energy supply assessment stations in its Mundybashskiy subsidiary; these should allow to reduce the heating and hot water bills by 1.5 times. Within the framework of the energy-saving program, 11 such stations will have been introduced at the company’s subsidiaries by the beginning of the heating period, reports the company’s spokesperson.

‘Mundybashskiy subsidiary will get such stations for the processing shop, for the concentrate drying department, and for the administration building. The meters installed within the heating pipelines record the amount of hot water, its temperature and pressure. These data are then automatically transferred onto the stations where they are analyzed and made into a report on the spent heat. In order to control the tracking systems operations, the information is transmitted to PC of the chief power engineering specialist of the subsidiary. On the basis of the acquired data, the real cost of the consumed energy supply is calculated,’ the spokesperson said.

Two such energy supply assessment stations were earlier assembled in the crushing and processing plant and in the mine of Kazsky pit. Within the first month of theiroperation, the company’s savings exceeded their assembling costs by six times.
