First Power Generating Company JSC invests 918.5 million RUR in modernization campaign

According to the spokesperson for First Power Generating Company JSC, the enterprise has invested 918.5 million RUR in modernization campaign over the seven months of 2006.

The upgrading included the overhaul of No. 2 steam turbine, current repairs of No. 1 steam turbine, of No. 1 steam boiler, and of No. 2 steam boiler at Urengoyskaya state district power plant.

The company has also sponsored the maintenance works of No. 2 and No. 3 power generating units at Permskaya power plant and of No. 1 power generating unit at Nizhnevartovskaya power plant. As for Iriklinskaya power plant, No. 2 and No. 7 power generating units underwent current repairs, units 1, 4, and 6 underwent mid-life repair, and unit 8 and No 3 water-wheel alternator were given overhaul.

The repairs at Verkhnetagilskaya power plant included current repair of power generating units 7, 9, and 10, of boilers 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 10, and overhaul of boiler 11 and No. 2 chimney flue.

The technicians of Kashirskaya power plant managed to complete the maintenance works of No. 4, No. 5, No. 6, and No. 7 power generating units and of No. 8 boiler as well as the overhaul of the cooling stack well before the deadline.

Within the next five years, the company will have invested another 69.5 billion RUR and put into operation 2,000 megawatt-worth of generating equipment.
