Ore mining and processing enterprise of Kachkanar acquires special new equipment

Vanadium Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise of Kachkanar (part of Evraz Group) added some new vehicles to its fleet, namely, two Polish frontlifts and an excavator made by Uralvagonzavod of Nizhniy Tagil.

The frontlifts will be used for cargo handling in the pits, factories and storehouses, the excavator is meant for clearing up and constructing railroads in the open casts. One of the frontlifts will be employed at the final tailings shop since, according to the company’s production plan, a lot of drainage fills will have to be dealt with there in 2007. The rest of the equipment should be at the disposal of the ore-handling department, the railroad administration, and the repairs and maintenance department.

In addition to these three vehicles, the company has obtained a stemming device, a water wagon, and a fuel servicing truck, reports the spokesperson for Evraz Group.
