Vysokogorskiy Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise replaces equipment at grinding and processing plant of its Goroblagodatskiy subsidiary

Vysokogorskiy Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise (part of Evraz Group) has been conducting a tender and deciding on the suppliers of the new equipment for the grinding and processing plant of its Goroblagodatskiy subsidiary. Accoridng to the company’s development program, this project will be receiving investments up to 2015.

The enterprise has already chosen Sandvik of Sweden as the supplier of two breakers as the corporate technicians were fully satisfied with their characteristics and parameters. They still have to think of the best source to buy seven modern bolting machines, so the managers and technicians are now considering buying from one of the three Russian producers and a number of other candidates. These new bolting machines will make it possible for the company to produce finer concentrate (0-10), which will make the work easier for the ball crushers installed in the processing shop and is expected to enhance the company’s production efficiency.

The enterprise is also planning on buying eight more powerful dry magnetic separation drums and upgrading the magnetic systems of the old ones. The stronger magnets will increase the speed of drum rotation as well as regulate it to order. They will also reduce loss of iron in the final tailings and increase its content in the ore concentrate by 3% to 4%.

The current capacity of Goroblagodatskiy grinding and processing plant is largely determined by the ore output of Yuzhnaya mine, reports the spokesperson for the company.
