The opening ceremony of Auchan, the French chain of hypermarkets, took place in Yekaterinburg today, reports the spokesperson for the Governor of Sverdlovsk Region. The area of the store comes to almost 14,000 square meters, with 76 cash desks ready to serve the customers. Auchan has become the third hypermarket to be introduced in Yekaterinburg this year; it was preceded by the arrival of IKEA and OBI.
