Estyuninskaya mine of Vysokogorskiy Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise (part of Evraz Group) repaired the major elements of the equipment used for transporting ore from the lower levels of the mine. These repairs should help the miners avoid any breakdowns and reduce the time wasted while the equipment is being fixed.

In order to make sure all the ore is crushed regularly and reliably, the company’s workers fixed the jawbreaker located at -253 meters; the employees of the general contractor restored the skip hoist responsible for crushing magnetite and delivering it onto the surface. Most of the metal parts of the cur dumper installed at -180 meters (the level that yields most ore) were replaced.

All the repairs were carried out in full compliance with the schedule and safety precautions, and the equipment is now operating quite reliably, says the spokesperson for Vysokogorskiy Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise.
