Galvanized and painted steel market of Ural Federal District came to 250,000 tons in 2006, with another 270,000 to 280,000 tons expected in 2007. These figures were presented at the conference devoted to galvanized and painted rolled metal that was held in Moscow.

The Ural flat section processing market has been developing quite rapidly, with goods supplied mainly by the building industry which, in its turn, grows by 8% to 10% a year due to stable economic development, income growth, and business investments (all of which results in increased demand for real estate) and mortgage lending development.
