Rostechnadzor to inspect large enterprises based in Ural Federal District

Rostechnadzor (the state environmental and technological safety watchdog) is going to inspect the largest enterprises based in Sverdlovsk Region on March 20-30, 2007. Following the order of Head Konstantin Pulikovskiy, Rostechnadzor’s experts will have to examine just how effectively the management of these enterprises complies with the technological and environmental safety requirements, reports Rostechnadzor’s press officer in Ural Federal District.

The agency is to inspect the following companies: Magnesite, Chelyabinsk; Svyatogor, Krasnouralsk; Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Chelyabinsk; Electrometallurgical Industrial Complex of Chelyabinsk; Chelyabinsk Coal Company; Nadymgazprom Ltd.; Urengoigazprom Ltd.; Surgutgazprom Ltd.; Uraltransgas Ltd., Yekaterinburg; SverdlovskNefteProduct; Kamensk Uralskiy Metallurgical Works; Russian Railways; UralTechGas, Yekaterinburg; Ural Chemical Company, Nizhniy Tagil; UralChimMash, Yekaterinburg.

Rostechnadzor will also examine the maintenance of climbing cranes at a number of Surgut- and Noyabrsk-based businesses as well as at YekaterinburgGlavStroy Ltd. of Yekaterinburg and SibNefteProvodStroy Ltd. of Tyumen. Another inspection will have to do with the construction control at Ural Electro-Chemical Complex of Novouralsk and section 4 of Beloyarskaya nuclear power station. Experts will also have to check compliance with the nuclear and radiation safety regulations at Beloyarskaya nuclear power station and Radon Chelyabinsk Specialized Complex. All these are scheduled inspections, says Rostechnadzor’s press officer in Ural Federal District.
