Main Forestry Management Division of Sverdlovsk Region and Consumer Market Offenses Administration sign cooperation agreement
The Main Forestry Management Division of Sverdlovsk Region and Consumer Market Offenses Administration under Sverdlovsk Region Department of Internal Affairs (namely, the Environmental Police Department) signed a cooperation agreement, says the spokesperson for the Main Forestry Management Division.
The two authorities agreed to assist each other in responding to environmental offenses quickly and effectively, making sure the culprits can’t avoid being punished and always make up for the damage they have done.
Given that the number of environmental police officers will have reached 500 by the end of the year and that they will be serving in six regional cities at the same time (Yekaterinburg, Pervouralsk, Kamensk-Uralskiy, Nizhniy Tagil, Irbit, and Krasnouralsk), it should be easier to prosecute the perpetrators.
Experts from the two organizations will also draw up an action plan aimed at preventing violations of the forestry code.
