Existing home prices keep going down in Yekaterinburg

On average, one square meter of a Yekaterinburg-based dwelling cost 65,398 RUR on October 2, 2007. This was .4% less expensive than four weeks earlier. Besides, no price increases were recorded in any particular districts. Dwellings became .2% less expensive in the center of the city, with the average price coming to 81,020 RUR per square meter. Prices went down by .3% in Avtovokzal, VIZ, Parkoviy, Yugo-Zapadniy, Botanicheskiy, Zarechniy, Vtuzgorodok, Shartashskiy, Yuzhniy, ZhBI, Pionerskiy, and Vokzalniy districts and came to 69,041 RUR per square meter.

As for Siniye Kamni, Uralmash, Elmash, Novaya Sortirovka, Zavokzalniy, Sibirskiy, Shirokaya Rechka, and Uktus, prices dropped by 1.3% and reached 59,225 RUR per square meter on average. A square meter of housing now costs 57,344 RUR (.3% less than four weeks earlier) in Shinniy, Chermet, Apparatniy, Staraya Sortirovka, Khimmash, and Lechebniy.

Housing in places like Shartash, Isoplit, Koltsovo, Ptitsefabrika, Nizhne-Isetskiy, Sem Klyuchey, Rudniy, Istok, Verkhnemakarovo, Pyshma, Sadoviy, Shabrovskiy, Palkino, Shuvakish, Medniy, Chusovskoye Lake and Sovkhoz (the outskirts of Yekaterinburg) went 1% less expensive and is now available at 50,640 RUR per square meter.

The existing home market supply has been going up stably but very slowly by 3% a month at the most. Prices are not likely to grow in the near future and the volume of supply is expected to gradually go down.
