We know new Russian rules from our European flights experience, Ural Airlines says

«The final version of the new rules regarding passenger air traffic has only come into force today, so it’s a bit early to speak of any results just now. It goes without saying that we’ll now be operating solely on the basis of these new regulations,’ Ural Airlines» PR Director Alexei Fomin says.

According to Mr. Fomin, Ural Airlines has for a long time been using a lot of the rules that the Russian Government is introducing only now.

«For one thing, we started restoring people’s lost tickets long time ago, and this is a principle that is virtually the same that has been made the law today. Then, our policy on hot meals and beverages happens to be in full compliance with the newly imposed regulations. In fact, these regulations strongly resemble the European rules, and we are quite familiar with those, since we’ve been on the international market for quite a while. This is why I don’t think we are going to have any problems adhering to the new rules», he notes.

The Russian Federation Ministry of Transport imposed new passenger air traffic regulations on October 22, 2007. The rules state that even if you lose your ticket, you can still take the plane; a special rule demands that all passengers should be provided with hot meals and hotel accommodation by the air carrier in case a flight is seriously delayed.
