Wings Travel Club to hit Russia’s Top 5 Rating

Wings Travel Club (Ural Airlines’ daughter enterprise) held a strategic meeting devoted to evaluating the five years of the company’s activity on April 2, 2008. The other points on the agenda covered issues like the company’s new development plan that is believed to help Wings Travel Club get on Russia’s Top 5 travel agents list in terms of plane ticket sales.

According to Kommersant and Turinfo’s annual ratings, Wings Travel Club’s ticket sales have secured it the tenth best result throughout the country so far.

‘We’ve been on the market for five years and have gone a long way from a single ten-people office in 2003 to twenty offices employing over 100 people today. But this is just the beginning: we’ve got some further growth potential, so I’m positive we are going to outstrip Moscow’s leading businesses soon,’ Wings Travel Club’s Director Natalya Obozhina said to UrBC.

Wings Travel Club was set up by Ural Airlines on April 4, 2003 and proved to be very good at providing services to businesses and organizations. The club owns one of the Urals and Siberia’s largest networks with offices in Yekaterinburg, Sverdlovsk Region, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen, and Ozersk. The company was awarded the Brand of The Year/Effie Prize in 2006 and the Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District’s certificate in the Best Corporate Social Program in Service Sector category and Tourist Brands Prize in 2006.
