Koltsovo airport owes state 206.42 million RUR

The rental agreement Koltsovo airport of Yekaterinburg signed with the state says the airport must pay a certain fee (defined in Appendix 3 to the agreement) for using some state-run property on a monthly basis. As it happens, Koltsovo airport failed to make these payments, and the total sum of the debt has come to 206,424,458.54 RUR so far, the spokesperson for the Federal Property Management Agency (aka Rosimuschestvo) reports.

‘As the airport failed to pay its monthly fees, Rosimuschestvo’s Sverdlovsk Region division had to file a complaint with the court, demanding that their rental agreement should be cancelled. If Rosimuschestvo wins the case, the rental agreement will be nullified by judicial means, and the property in question will be managed in accordance with the governmental provision 685 as of June 30, 1998 that regulates the way the state benefits from renting its property; there will probably be a tender after the lower limit for monthly fee has been estimated,’ the spokesperson for Rosimuschestvo says.

Apart from that, Rosimuschestvo’s order 35 issued on March 6, 2008 secured the managerial rights with AGA, the federal state unitary enterprise responsible for running civil airports.
