Russian Expo Arms — 2008 и Russian Defence Expo — 2008 exhibitions were opened at the firing ground located by Staratel settlement in the vicinity of Nizhniy Tagil on July 9, 2008. Both events are supported by SKB-Bank as usual.

The annual exhibitions attract more and more participants and visitors every year. This year, over 400 Russian and foreign enterprises are expected to take part in the event, and over 60,000 people are expected to visit the fairs. In addition, business executives from forty-seven different countries will probably pay a visit, SKB-Bank’s press officer reports.

The agenda of the exhibition provides for shows of weapons and military equipment as well as some demonstration of the Ministry of Emergencies, Ministry of Internal Affairs, and military units’ skills in preventing acts of terror and rescuing people. The exhibition area comes to over 3,000 square meters worth of pavilions and 9,000 square meters worth of open-air expositions.

Russian Expo Arms — 2008 и Russian Defence Expo — 2008 exhibitions will be attended by heads of industrial agencies, defense ministries, and other state and regional authorities.

The coordinators of the events report both REA-2008 and RDE-2008 were largely made possible thanks to sponsorship and support. Sverdlovsk Region Government has numerously commented on SKB-Bank’s contribution to the organization of fairs, which adds to the Russia’s defense capabilities as well as to the Urals’ scientific potential’s development.

The exhibitions will be available for visitors on July 9-12, 2008.
