Chelyabinsk Region to get building organization
Chelyabinsk Region, alongside with tall the other Russian Federation’s constituent entities, has to gradually switch from the licensing system to the self-regulatory organizations system in the building industry between July 1, 2008 and January 1, 2010. On June 11, 2008, a working group was set up in order to develop a single self-regulatory organization for the whole region’s building industry, First Deputy Governor Vladimir Dyatlov announced in the course of PROMASS (the Organization of Employers of Chelyabinsk Region)’s meeting.
Some other points on the meeting’s agenda included a report on the region’s environmental policies made by Minister for Radiological and Environmental Safety Gennady Podtesov, who commented on excessive car exhausts, under-recycled consumption waste, and dumping of manufacturing water as some of Chelyabinsk Region’s most pressing environmental problems.
Then, a report was made by PROMASS President Valeriy Panov on the new legislative initiatives in the field of innovative economy.
‘The changes in the land and town planning codes are believed to create the stimulating environment for innovations and investments and to enhance the businesses’ innovational potential within the presidential economic development program. As far as this region is concerned, both the regional authorities and the local business community contribute to the implementation of this program,’ he said.
PROMASS board of directors supported Leonid Shusharin’s idea of setting up a coordinating committee consisting of scientists and industrial policies experts that could help educate and train skilled workers for the region, the spokesperson for PROMASS reports.
