Rusgrad to pay 500,000-ruble fine
Sverdlovsk Region Court of Arbitration delivered its judgment regarding case А60-13735/08, the claim laid by Ural Federal District’s division of Rostechnadzor (the state environmental, technological, and nuclear safety watchdog) against Rusgrad, the developer that works on Koltsovo airport’s new international terminal.
The first court hearing took place on July 22, 2008. Rostechnadzor insisted on Rusgrad’s administrative prosecution for lacking some essential papers: the state board of experts’ approval of the developer’s design documentation and engineering surveys as well as the construction permit. Rostechnadzor therefore wanted the construction process to be halted for ninety days.
‘The court’s ruling was to meet the plaintiff’s claim, but the ninety-day stoppage was replaced with the 500,000-ruble fine,’ says Sverdlovsk Region Court of Arbitration’s spokeswoman Yulia Kolyasnikova.
