Healthcare gets better in Chelyabinsk Region, Deputy Governor says
Deputy Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Roman Panov met the heads of the region’s municipalities in the course of their monthly meeting to discuss the implementation of the state guarantees system within the regional healthcare network. The system is designed to work in two directions. Firstly, it aims to eliminate the waiting queues, as data on these are promptly collected by the health ministry on a daily basis. Things got better in most towns and cities, while the less successful municipalities were asked to use the summertime for improving upon their clinics’ patient service.
Secondly, the obligatory medical insurance fund and the local insurance companies keep monitoring the quality of medical services and make sure they are rendered free of charge. Some inspectors are already working in the regional hospitals; besides, a special telephone number has been provided for all those willing to help the monitoring process. These measures make it possible to promptly react to all the complaints and do one’s best to improve on the quality of medical care.
At the end of the meeting, Roman Panov said things were better than before generally.
‘The region has all the means needed to make the state guarantees system work,’ he noted.
