ChTPZ Complex Pipe Systems delivers pipe spools to KazStroyService

ChTPZ Complex Pipe Systems (part of Rimera, ChTPZ Group’s O&G maintenance division) completed the delivery of pipe spools needed for the Kazakhstan-China portion of Kenkiyak-Kumkol oil trunk pipeline to NGSK KazStroyService.

‘The delivery agreement resulted from a tender KazStroyService organized for the applicants. The agreement provided for the delivery of 22-inch pipe spools produced by Chelyabinsk-based SOT, a company dealing in production of pipeline bends and part of Rimera through ChTPZ Complex Pipe Systems’ representation in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Everything was manufactured in accordance with the European standards exclusively for Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipeline,’ the company’s press officer said.

ChTPZ Complex Pipe Systems has already delivered some 32-inch large-diameter pipe bends needed for the construction of the Kazakhstan-China portion of Atasu-Alashankou oil trunk pipeline to the customer. This was a kind of bends that is not normally used in Russia, so the bends had to be designed and manufactured exclusively at the customer’s order.

‘The construction of the 761-kilometer-long Kenkiyak-Kumkol pipeline will probably be completed in October 2009. The pipeline’s capacity is expected to come to 10 million tons of oil a year at the beginning. After the pipeline has been integrated into Kazakhstan-China oil trunk pipeline, oil will be transported directly from the oil fields in Aktyubinsk Region, Western Kazakhstan, and Kazakhstan sector of the Caspian Sea to China,’ the press officer explained.
