UC RUSAL APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF SALES
Moscow, 13 November 2008 – UC RUSAL, the world’s largest aluminium and alumina producer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sergey Belsky as its Director of Sales.
Sergey Belsky will be responsible for the marketing and sales of the company’s wide product mix including aluminium, alumina, silicon, and foil to the international markets in Asia, America, Europe, and the CIS. He will also develop long-term relationships with existing clients, whilst searching for new sales opportunities and strengthening UC RUSAL’s ties with domestic and international end-users of its products.
Sergey Belsky had previously worked as the Sales Director of UC RUSAL’s Moscow office since the company’s establishment in March 2007.
Sergey Belsky replaced Peter Finnimore who had left UC RUSAL for another company.
Biography
Sergey Belsky was born in Moscow in 1967. In 1991, Mr. Belsky graduated from the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys where he majored in metal engineering. A year later, he graduated from the Moscow Institute of International Business of the Ministry of Economic Relations and Trade. In 2003, he received a degree from the London Business School.
He started his career as a trader in Raznoimport before working his way up to head a division at Trans World Group in 1996. Between 1999 and 2000 he was the head of the export sales department in Sibirsky Aluminium. Since the foundation of RUSAL in 2000 he worked as the Sales Director, Russia and the CIS. Starting from 2007 he worked as the Sales Director of UC RUSAL’s Moscow office.
