Court officers get 379 fake warrants involving Home Credit & Finance Bank

379 counterfeited warrants of execution regarding the money some debtors allegedly have to pay Home Credit & Finance Bank have been found in the offices of Sverdlovsk Region’s Court Officers Service recently, the spokesperson for the Service reports.

All of these papers have allegedly been issued by a Tomsk-based court’s Justice of the Peace, but it was detected in the course of an investigation that the court never produced any of the documents at all. It was also revealed that the claims were placed with the court officers on behalf of Ilya Moskvichev, a Chelyabinsk-based employee of a company dealing in collection and return of debts. The man placed his claims with the officers on the basis of a letter of authority provided by the bank. So far, the case has been presented to Chelyabinsk Region’s prosecution authorities.

Home Credit & Finance Bank is now believed to have signed a contract of agency with the company empowering the latter to collect debts from private individuals. The company was given a set of documents involving 1,433 Sverdlovsk Region-based debtors, with Moskvichev claiming he’d known nothing about the papers being forged. The business representative later insisted that, since the bank had ensured them the debts were real, they were to bear no responsibility for the consequences.

‘It’s still unclear just how the documents turned out to be forged. All the legal proceedings instituted so far have been canceled by now, and the money already collected is to be returned. The documents related to the counterfeited papers have been placed with the public prosecution authorities,’ the Service reports.
