Governor Sumin directs 22m to heating

Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Petr Sumin directed 22 million RUR to complete the heating supply network’s upgrade in the village of Bairamgulovo, Argayashskiy district.

The spokesperson for the Governor reports this aid from the region’s budget will help the village finish up all the jobs. Two new gas boilers will replace the thirty-seven-year-old coal boiler (responsible for discharging fifty tons of dust and soot a season), while the other bits of obsolete machinery will give way to some new Italian equipment that is both noiseless and environmentally friendly as well as almost fully automated. In case of an emergency, the boiler operators will be notified via a text message.

As many as 1,700 local dwellers and social service workers will enjoy the benefits of the new gas boilers in the coming heating season. Mayor of Argayashskiy district Israfil Valishin says the locals’ heating bills are expected to drop by 2.5 times, so they will be paying 25 RUR to 30 RUR per sq m of housing rather than the 65 RUR they are paying at the moment. The preliminary estimates indicate savings might reach 5 million RUR. The new boilers are to be launched on October 15, 2009.

Expanding the natural gas supply network within the region has always been one of Chelyabinsk Region Government’s top priorities. Over the last decade, the network access has increased by 2.5 times and is now available to 68% of the population, which is 16% better than the country’s average.

In July 2009, Governor Sumin allocated an additional 200 million RUR to support the construction of the regional natural gas supply network. This means about 1,500 houses and apartments will be given access to the valuable resource, with over 8,000 new users expected to arrive by the end of the year.
