Okami and Avtosan to be Ford’s Yekaterinburg dealers
Ford Motor Company announced the names of their new Yekaterinburg dealers. These are going to be Okami and Avtosan car centers. Prior to this, the only dealer the car manufacturer had in Yekaterinburg was Avtoland Holding.
In fact, Ford Motor Company and Okami had signed a protocol of intent earlier. As for Avtosan, the two companies have been negotiating over a similar protocol lately.
Ford Motor Company officially declared the start of the dealer tender in Yekaterinburg in August 2009. It was then rumored that Avtosan could become one of the company’s local dealers, but the show room was unwilling to provide any comments.
Ford reported they were interested in show rooms with some experience on the regional market and in companies that could produce evidence of their rights over the land allotment and the buildings they use. Finally, the car manufacturer said they were looking for financially stable candidates.
