Governor Sumin congratulates Chelindbank’s Chairman

Governor of Chelyabinsk Region Petr Sumin sent a letter of congratulations to Chelindbank’s Chairman of the Supervisory Board Mikhail Bratiskhin, who celebrated his 85th birthday recently.

‘Thanks to your efforts, Chelyabinsk Region keeps developing and lives increasingly better; you’ve also been helping the region to cope with difficulties. Your professional skills and talent, as well as your outstanding compassion and patriotism, result in great achievements that mean a lot to both the people and the country,’ the letter says.

Sumin noted the bank executive had been working within the banking system for over five decades and so he had been continuously contributing to the banking business development in the region.

‘Your rich experience and wisdom have supported our region throughout all the economic ups and downs. We sailed smoothly through the hardest nineties thanks to your clever and thoughtful decisions. You helped Chelyabinsk Region to retain its economic potential, save its industry, and support the South Ural dwellers. Chelindbank (which you have been running so well) has always been the region’s reliable partner that helped it restore and improve,’ the Governor said.

Governor Sumin wished Mikhail Bratishkin many more fruitful years.

‘The region needs your expertise and support now as much as it did before; we keep relying on you in terms of fighting the economic recession and making sure the region is stable and prosperous again,’ the Governor’s letter says.

Mikhail Bratishkin was born in Zimovniki, Rostov Region, in 1924. After getting his degree at Moscow Finance Institute, he headed Gosbank of the USSR’s Chelyabinsk Region division and then Promstroybank’s administration. Bratishkin started working at Chelindbank in 1990, first as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board and then as the General Director. The executive was awarded with a title of Russia’s Honored Economist and with the Orders of the October Revolution, of the Patriotic War (1st class), and of the Red Banner of Labor.
