Anatoly Gredin appointed Head of Government

Former First Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government and Minister for Industry and Science Anatoly Gredin has recently been appointed Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government.

The new Head is fifty-three years old. He graduated from Ural Electromechanical Institute of Railway Engineers in 1978 with a degree in Transport Routes Engineering & Railway Maintenance.

Anatoly Gredin started working at Sverdlovsk Region Railways in 1978 as Ugleuralskaya station duty officer and was then promoted to switching dispatcher, chief engineer, head of Chusovskaya station, department director of Chusovskoye division, first deputy head of division, deputy head of road, and head of Operations Division.

In 1997-2007, Gredin was employed in the capacity of First Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Railways. He was appointed Deputy of the region’s Minister for Industry and Science Viktor Koksharov in July 2007.

On May 4, 2008, he was promoted to the position of First Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region Government for Maintenance and Minister for Industry and Science, replacing Vladimir Molchanov, who then resigned.
