‘We’ll do everything that is necessary to raise the public sector workers’ salaries by at least 15%, which means Sverdlovsk Region’s average pay should increase to 20,400 RUR a month this year,’ Governor of Sverdlovsk Region Alexander Misharin said to the local dwellers during his visit to Asbest.

‘We’ll also keep on putting up new day care centers. We need room for 52,000 more children at the moment, with each child in a kindergarten costing the budget about a million rubles. This means we need 1 billion RUR to solve the problem. The state authorities can and should devise and implement a special day care introduction program, and it’s nice to see that Asbest has been setting an example of this: some new kindergartens are opened in town on a regular basis,’ the Governor said.

Alexander Misharin also answered the locals’ numerous questions, most of which had to do with the region’s typical problems: lack of kindergartens, registration of land allotments for private housing construction, capital repairs of dwellings and healthcare facilities. The Governor promised that special attention would be paid to the healthcare problem and that Asbest would be included in the region’s healthcare development program.
