Sky Express calls off Moscow-Yekaterinburg flight

The arrival of a SkyExpress airplane to Koltsovo Airport of Yekaterinburg was called off today. Flight EX303 was supposed to have arrived from Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport at 8:30 PM today. The arrival was actually cancelled. No reason or explanation has been given on the airport’s interactive announcement board. This means the return flight EX304 (original departure time 9:45 PM) was called off as well.

Dexter Airlines has canceled its flights to and from Koltsovo Airport of Yekaterinburg yet again. For one, flight 9628 from Kurgan to Yekaterinburg was called off. The flight was originally supposed to have arrived at 3:55 PM. What is more, flights from Tyumen and Magnitogorsk, which were to have arrived in Yekaterinburg at 12:00 PM and 4:20 AM today, respectively, were also canceled. The company has already called off some flights a few days earlier. Koltsovo Airport announced on Friday that the flights had been canceled due to technical problems. The plane was to have landed in Yekaterinburg at 6:45 AM, but the arrival was first put off till 9:50 AM and then called off altogether. This naturally means that flight LH 1481 from Yekaterinburg to Frankfurt was also cancelled; the aircraft was supposed to have taken off in Koltsovo first at 9:10 AM and then and 10:30 AM. ZAO RusLine Airlines called off two flights bound for Yekaterinburg – flight RG 4416 from Samara and flight RG 824 from Kiev, Yekaterinburg Koltsovo Airport’s interactive announcement board says. The plane from Kiev was to have landed in Yekaterinburg at 9:30 PM local time on November 10, 2010, the one from Samara was to have arrived at 2:40 PM. In fact, Samara-Yekaterinburg flight had already been delayed by over fourteen hours before. UT440, a flight from Tomsk to Moscow operated by UTair, was delayed in Tomsk Airport by five hours, the airport’s interactive announcement board states, according to RIA Novosti. According to the original timetable, the plane was to leave for Moscow at 7 AM local time (4 AM Moscow time), but the departure was put off until noon (9 AM Moscow time). The interactive announcement board only says that the security check has been completed. Tomsk Airport information center explains that the flight was delayed due to technical problems with the aircraft.
