Cargo Airlines Instanbul flight called off

Dexter Airlines has canceled its flights to and from Koltsovo Airport of Yekaterinburg yet again. For one, flight 9628 from Kurgan to Yekaterinburg was called off. The flight was originally supposed to have arrived at 3:55 PM. What is more, flights from Tyumen and Magnitogorsk, which were to have arrived in Yekaterinburg at 12:00 PM and 4:20 AM today, respectively, were also canceled. The company has already called off some flights a few days earlier. Koltsovo Airport announced on Friday that the flights had been canceled due to technical problems. The summer tourist season began with a flight delay for travelers wishing to go from Yekaterinburg to Antalya. Koltsovo airport has already put off Turkey-bound flights twice within the last ten days: it refused to give the carrier its slots on April 14, 2007 and claimed it couldn’t service so many passengers at the time on April 21, 2007. ‘Koltsovo airport of Yekaterinburg is trying to impugn our order regarding the airport’s refusal to provide Ural Airlines with the slots for winter flights from Yekaterinburg to Moscow and back,’ says the spokesperson for Federal Antimonopoly Service in Sverdlovsk Region. The Service earlier stated that Kotsovo airport had been violating the antimonopoly law when refusing the carrier the so-called historic slots in winter. The airport said back then that due to overhaul of check-in zones 1 and 2 and leasing of zones 5 and 6 meant for domestic flights they couldn’t service too many passengers

The recent negotiations held by the management of Koltsovo airport and Ural Airlines have finally resulted in an agreement over the summer slots for 2007, reports the carrier’s press officer. Ural Airlines summer slots are going to almost fully coincide with the so-called historic slots for the summer of 2006. Ural Airlines’ press officer says Koltsovo airport has been responsible for the carrier’s chartered flights delay on a number of occasions this year, obviously inconveniencing the passengers greatly. ‘A short while ago, Sunrise tour travel agency’s fifty-six customers who didn’t have any direct agreement with Ural Airlines were unable to pass the border control at Koltsovo airport of Yekaterinburg and thus missed their chartered flight SVR 3603 due to lack of papers, visas, and passports,’ the carrier’s press officer said to UrBC. Based on its agreement with PGS Charter, Ural Airlines is to operate a chartered flight from Yekaterinburg, Russia, to Goa, India, and back from December 9, 2007 to April 2, 2008.
