Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil (part of Evraz Group) introduces the new system of information management of technical servicing and equipment maintenance.

According to their spokesperson, the system provides for the coordinated functioning of all corresponding services; it’ll have on file all the data concerning the equipment repairs, its quality, the work of storage facilities, and budget design. Having everything in a single database will ensure production of the planned amount of high quality goods with increasingly fewer expenses. This program is based on the current automated SAP R/3.

To install the software, a group of executives, IT-specialists, and representative of economics department. Some rules and instructions have already been implemented, paper filing has already been canceled. The system is now being introduced in nine of the company’s departments, and there already are schemes to have it installed in a few others.
