The Personnel Department of Metallurgical Industrial Complex of Nizhniy Tagil (part of Evraz Group) hosted a workshop on protection of intellectual property rights. The executives of a company dealing in patents and legal protection of newly invented goods put the employees of the Complex into the picture of different ways inventors and innovators can successfully protect their interests in an industrial company. Over 30 employees attended the meeting altogether, including the executives from the Innovation and Patents Department, the Legal Department, the representatives of the converter shop, the open-hearth plant, the blast-furnace department, and the number of rolling plants. The legal aspect of intellectual property is particularly important for large industrial enterprises working with companies overseas, especially now when Russia is about to enter the WTO.

Over 200 innovators and inventors are currently working for the Complex, with over 400 innovations and 20 inventions proposed every year. All of them have to be timely registered and patented, reports the spokesperson for Evraz Group.
