Ore Mining and Processing Enterprise of Kachkanar JSC (part of Evraz Group) started assembling a new separator with high magnetic-field strength at its dry magnetic separation department.

The equipment of this kind has never been used by the company before. The strength of this new facility is almost twice as big as that of the currently used ones. By the experts’ estimates, in case the separation facilities are fully replaced the enterprise can raise its ore output by .5%, which is quite an achievement for the business.

This high magnetic-field strength separator was made by Voronezh-based Rudgormash Ltd. The device will be installed in technological section 20 and then tested until mid-November 2006, reports the spokesperson for Evraz Group.
