Troitskaya power station becomes part of OGK-2, power generating company

The top managers of OGK-2, the heat and power generating company, received abstracts of the united state register of legal entities that report the closing down of Stavropolskaya, Pskovskaya, and Surgutskaya power stations as independent legal bodies on September 29, 2006; they have now become subsidiaries of OGK-2.

According to the company’s GD Mikhail Kuzichev, their investment program for 2006-2010 consists of three projects targeted at increasing the throughput of the corporate powers stations, putting up a 330-megawatt coal-based power generating unit at Serovskaya power station, building a 450-megawatt steam and gas generating unit at Stavropolskaya power station, and construction of 500-megawatt coal-based unit at Troitskaya power station.

Mr Kuzichev also says that the initial public offering of the company’s shares is to be expected in the middle of 2007; they haven’t decided on the assistant yet, reports their spokesperson.
