Sverdlovsk Region citizens send 67% of claims to Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District in January-March 2007
2,756 claims and applications were sent to Plenipotentiary Representative of Russian Federation President in Ural Federal District in January-March 2007. 67%, 15%, 7%, 5%, 3%, and 2% of them were filed by the citizens of Sverdlovsk Region, Chelyabinsk Region, Khanty-Mansiyskiy Autonomous Region, Ugra, Kurgan Region, Tyumen Region, and Yamalo-Nenetskiy Autonomous Region, respectively.
21.7% of claims concerned issues related to availability of dwellings and the quality of housing maintenance; 12.5% had to do with the performance of the regional departments of internal affairs, 10.3% dwelled upon the issues related to state, society, and politics, 7.4% of claims were devoted to the activity of the judiciary branch, 6.9% were connected with social welfare issues.
1,127 people met different executives in person, which is 27% better than a year earlier (132 in January-March 2007 against 110 in January-March 2006). The authorities saw to it that 911 requests were complied with, and 512 compliance reports were received.
34% of claims were satisfied, 63% of applicants received detailed explanations, and 3% were refused because of interference with legal regulations or with other citizens’ interests.
Plenipotentiary Representative’s hot line received 3,143 calls regarding the implementation of the national projects, of which 49% (1,525 calls) were related to Affordable Housing Program, 27% (859 calls) to National Health Project, 16% (513 calls) to National Education Project, and 8% (246 calls) to Agricultural Development Program.
