West Siberian Metallurgical Industrial Complex undergoes scheduled audit procedure
West Siberian Metallurgical Industrial Complex (part of Evraz Group) has successfully undergone the scheduled audit procedure conducted by a representative of Lloyd Register, the British corporation. The audit covered the obligatory elements of the company’s quality management system and the implementation of this system in the section-rolling, roll-turning, and thermal shops as well as in the coking plant section, the repair and maintenance shop, the personnel development center, the labor and wages coordinating department, and in the training and production department.
'At the end of a three-day audit procedure, the Complex was certified in accordance with the ISO 9001:2000 standards. Lloyd Register’s assessor Ildar Mamleev said the company was using the newest production technologies that met their customers’ demands and kept trying to improve their quality management system based on a corrective action plan,’ the spokesperson for Evraz Group reports.
The company was originally re-certified in January 2006 when it received a certificate valid through January 31, 2009. The enterprise’s agreement with Lloyd Register provided for audits every six months throughout the whole period of the certificate’s validity.
