Four protocols signed by Chelyabinsk Region at Russian National Exhibition in Bratislava
A group of Chelyabinsk Region officials took part in the Russian National Exhibition in Bratislava, Slovakia, on June 20-23, 2007. The exhibition was attended by executives from Chelyabinsk Region Ministries of Economic Development, Industry, and Natural Resources, as well as by top managers of Chelyabinsk Electro-Technical Enterprise, ChelyabMetroStroy, ChelyabGiproMez, and Mir Kamnya Ltd.
The delegation made a presentation on Chelyabinsk Region’s potential and met some prospective business partners at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economics of the Slovak Republic and at the Russian Embassy and Russian Trade Representation in Slovakia. The agenda of these meetings covered the fields in which Chelyabinsk Region and the Slovak Republic could cooperate, including areas like colleges and universities and using Slovakia’s experience for improving Chelyabinsk Region-based housing maintenance and utilities services. The delegates also considered facilitating their Slovak colleagues’ visit to Chelyabinsk Region.
The Russian officials negotiated with over 70 Slovak companies and signed four protocols of intent, including, for example, an agreement signed between Mir Kamnya Ltd. and Czech Airlines regarding the production of souvenirs and branded goods. The Russian company is also planning to introduce a store selling stone souvenirs and gifts in one of Bratislava’s famous hotels. Chelyabinsk Electro-Technical Enterprise intends to set up a joint venture dealing in service and maintenance of medical equipment in the Urals and to do business with PHP in the field of multistorey car parks and assembling of hydraulic equipment.
