SKB-Bank celebrates its 17th anniversary
SKB-Bank, one of Russia’s largest provincial banks and a major player on the Ural market, celebrated its 17th anniversary on November 2, 2007. The bank was founded on the basis of Sverdlovsk Region branch of Agroprombank on November 2, 1990. It has been Sverdlovsk Region Government’s authorized bank since February 1996. In 2001, SKB-Bank found a valuable strategic partner in Sinara Group; in 2007, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development became one of SKB-Bank’s shareholders.
The volume of SKB-Bank’s assets rose from 2.6 billion RUR in 2002 to over 28 billion RUR in 2007; its loan portfolio increased from 1.5 billion RUR five years ago to more than 19 billion RUR today; then, the volume of natural persons’ deposits came to less than 800,000 RUR in 2002 and amounts to 7 billion RUR now. Finally, SKB-Bank only had 15 ATMs five years ago, whereas at the moment, its ATM network amounts to 210 machines in 50 cities and towns.
'SKB-Bank has gone a long way forward over these seventeen years; it was able to successfully grow, develop, and become one of the Urals’ most significant banks. The bank’s leadership on the market stems from both our employees’ great performance and the trust that comes from many thousands of our customers,’ SKB-Bank’s Chairman Vladimir Pukhov says.
