Case of Aviaprad, Koltsovo airport, RusAviaJet, and Ural Oil Company still under investigation
Sverdlovsk Region’s division of Federal Antimonopoly Service claims that Koltsovo airport of Yekaterinburg, RusAviaJet Ltd., Ural Oil Company, and Aviaprad have been violating the Federal Competition Protection Act, the regional spokesperson for the Service reports.
The Service found out the four businesses had apparently colluded in such a way that could lead to unjustifiably differing prices determined for one and the same kind of product. Then, Koltsovo airport is reported to be pursuing a pricing policy that could limit or even completely eliminate the market competition and infringe on other entities’ interests. In fact, this is a violation of the federal legislation (Article 1 of the Federal Competition Protection Act) by the region’s dominant economic agent.
'The initial court hearings took place on November 7, 2007, yet the next sittings have been put off until December as the Service needs some time for data-gathering,’ Deputy Head of Sverdlovsk Region’s division of Federal Antimonopoly Service Sergei Volkov said to UrBC.
