Ural Airlines’ passenger turnover grows by 15% in January-November 2007 compared to 2006
Ural Airlines reports the company’s passenger turnover reached 2,823,610,000 passenger-kilometers in January-November 2007, which is 15% better than in January-November 2006. The carrier operated 10,190 flights between January 1, 2007 and November 31, 2007, which exceeds the figures for a year earlier by 11%. 1,043 million people have used the airline’s services since the beginning of the year, and this year’s millionth passenger was serviced three months earlier than in 2006. In addition, the carrier has already handled more cargo this year than a year earlier: over 5,000 tons of cargo and 553 tons of mail have been transferred by the airline in January-November 2007.
The passenger load went up by 3% over the eleven months of 2007 and reached 76%, the payload mass rose by 2% and reached 70%.
The company’s passenger traffic increased by 19% in November 2007 compared to the year before and came to 74,000 passengers. The company’s pilots operated 750 flights, which is 12% better than last November. The passenger load for scheduled flights has remained the same as last year (66%), whereas the figure dropped by 10% for chartered flights and only came to 85%. The proportion of the payload mass amounted to 67%.
Ural Airlines sees its November performance as by and large successful, as all the figures fit the budget determined at the beginning of the year, and the company expects to set its own record of 1.2 million passenger by the end of the year.
