Yekaterinburg’s car centers inspected again

Sverdlovsk Region’s law-enforcement agencies have started the second round of inspecting the local car centers and show rooms.

The inspections first started on January 23, 2008 when the press officer of Sverdlovsk Region Department of Internal Affairs Valeriy Gorelikh made an announcement to this extent. He then said inspections would be related to tax evasion, undeclared wages, and violations of customs regulations as well as to the numerous complaints made by customers who are unhappy with the sales procedures.

Krasnolesye and Okami Motors were the first companies to undergo investigation, carried out by both the region’s law-enforcement and customs officers, Mr. Gorelikh noted.

On the very first day of the inspection, Krasnolesye complained the officers withdrew copies of their accounting records. Later on, Sverdlovsk Region Department of Internal Affairs claimed inspections were going on and would eventually involve all the car centers, including Autoland.
