Metallosnabzheniye I Sbyt magazine came up with the results on the survey targeted at selecting the best ferrous and non-ferrous metals manufacturers and traders in the second half of 2008. The magazine reports their rating is compiled on the basis of the questionnaires filled in by the customers and the market experts’ responses. As for the criteria, what the magazine took into account was the delivery volumes, services rendered, the quality of produce, and the ability to meet one’s contractual obligations in full. In addition, the rating was also influenced by the factors that kept affecting the domestic metals market in June to December 2008.

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) was rated Russia’s second best sheet products manufacturer in the country’s Top 5 ranking and the third best section iron producer. Then, MAGMA Trade (MMK’s official dealer) was given the fifth position in Russia’s Top 10 metal traders rating. What is more, MMK was declared the country’s second best producer of process-staged goods, while MMK-Profil-Moskva was given the sixth position on the country’s Top 10 metal traders list. In addition, MMK-Metiz (part of MMK Group) was featured as Russia’s second best metal goods manufacturer, MMK’s PR Department reports.
