Metallosnabzheniye I Sbyt’s January issue featured the results of a survey aimed at identifying Russia’s best ferrous and non-ferrous metals manufacturers and traders in the second half of 2009.

The rating was compiled on the basis of special questionnaires filled in by the metal products customers; the metal market experts’ opinions were taken into account as well. Also, the report writers completed a multi-faceted analysis of the metallurgical enterprises’ performance using the following criteria:

- Business development dynamics;

- Scope of shipment;

- Quality of after-sales service;

- Supplier’s dependability in terms of meeting contractual obligations under a recession.

Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works (MMK) was mentioned as one of Russia’s leading metal products manufacturers. MMK was rated 3d among the country’s Top 5 flat stock producers and 2nd among the country’s Top 5 bar iron makers. In addition, the company was declared second best among the producers of process-staged goods. What is more, MMK Group’s MMK METIZ was announced Russia’s second best hardware plant. Finally, one-year-old MMK Trading House was featured among Russia’s Top 5 trading houses run by metal products manufacturers, MMK’s Information and PR Department reports.
