‘Some technical issues related to making sure the quality of the zinc-coated products’ surface was the one we need were resolved successfully in the course of our negotiations. The parties also considered the development and introduction of bilateral normative documentation on the rolled stock for LG,’ MMK reports.

Besides, the agenda of the talks also covered the certification of new produce, for example, that of the rolled products with decorative coating; what is more, MMK is about to have its products certified by SGS for decreased harmful substances content.

MMK had its first polymeric coating unit launched in 2004; the unit was produced by VAI, an Austrian manufacturer. In 2009, another machine, supplied by the Italian FATA HUNTER this time, was introduced as well, thus upgrading the enterprise’s coated metal output to 400,000 tons a year. The unit comprises both hot and cold laminators and makes it possible to manufacture rolled metal with texturized polymeric coating. The furnace of the new apparatus is also designed in such a way as to allow for the production of materials suitable for white goods manufacturing.
